Driving Directions:
FROM LOGAN AIRPORT: Take the Sumner Tunnel (not the Williams Tunnel) into Boston. Follow signs to Storrow Dr. and Storrow Dr West. Follow Storrow Drive West (Charles River is on your right) until right-hand exit for JFK St, Harvard Square, Cambridge. (*Beware - Storrow Drive is notorious for losing people as exits go off of both the right and left sides - you may have to switch lanes at times to stay on Storrow Drive - stay alert and watch the signs carefully) Take right at top of exit ramp to cross over the Larz Andersen Bridge and the Charles River. Should take 10-15 minutes to get to this point with light traffic. At this point you are less than half a mile, and 5 minutes, from 53 Wendell St. Follow the Directions from Larz Andersen Bridge below.
FROM MASS PIKE DRIVING WEST RT. 90: take exit 20. Go west and Follow signs to Cambridge. (See directions FROM MASS PIKE continued below)
FROM MASS PIKE DRIVING EAST (Route-90E) Take exit number 18, on the left towards ALLSTON/CAMBRIDGE. (See directions below)
FROM MASS PIKE (continued from East and West):
Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp. (Double Tree Guest Suites will be on your right). There will be 2 sets of lights in succession, 50 ft apart. Stay in left-most lane through first lights, and then move to left-most lane as continue to 2nd light. Just after 2nd light, and before bridge and Charles River, take left. Charles River will be to your right. Go straight through next light onto Storrow Drive West. Stay in right lane, and take next right-hand exit for Harvard Sq., Cambridge and JFK st. You are now less than 1 mile, or 5 minutes, from 53 Wendell. Take right onto Larz Anderson Bridge/JFK st. Follow directions from Larz Anderson Bridge below, from here.

At this point you are less than half a mile, and 5 minutes, from 53 Wendell St. Go straight thru lights on other side of bridge(crossing Memorial drive) and continue on JFK st. Go straight through 2 more lights (1st light will have Elliot St Cafe/Dunkin Donuts on left, 2nd lights will have Peets coffee on left.) At third light (this is the epi-center of Harvard Sq - Harvard Coop and news stand will be across the street), fork to the right and then merge into Massachusetts Ave, staying in the left-most lane, (you will be heading west towards Porter Sq/Arlington). Harvard University main gate to Harvard Yard will be on the right and there will be a heavily travelled pedestrian walkway. Just after walkway and lights at Harvard University Gate veer to the left (do not go right to go under the underpass), and then stay in right-most lane. At next light stay to the right to continue on Massachussets Ave, west. You are still on Massachussetts Ave heading west towards Arlington and Porter Square, away from Harvard Square. Harvard Law school buildings will be to your right. At the second set of lights, take a right onto Everett St (there will be a clothing store called Looks on the far right corner.) At the next light take a left onto Oxford St. Then take an immediate right onto Hammond St. At next stop sign take a left onto Gorham St. At next stop sign, take a left onto Wendell St. 53 Wendell is second house on the right. Note that driveway for 53 Wendell is on the right After the house, and only includes the spot closest to the house (other side is owned by neighbor)

PUBLIC TRANSPORT: FROM SOUTH STATION: Take Red Line Subway toward Alewife to Harvard Square stop. Take a cab (2 minute ride) Follow directions below to walk to 53 Wendell from Harvard Sq. (15-20 minute subway ride)
PUBLIC TRANSPORT: FROM NORTH STATION: Take Orange Line Subway Inbound to Downtown Crossing. Change at Downtown Crossing to Red Line Subway Outbound toward Alewife. Get Off at Harvard Square Stop. (15-20 minute subway ride)

Take MBTA Commuter Rail - Fitchburg Line one stop to Porter Square stop. Be sure to check train schedules. (5 minute train ride)
WALKING FROM PORTER SQUARE:
Come out of Train Station, and take left on Massachusetts Ave, heading east towards Harvard Square. In 1/4 mile will come to Wendell St on left. Take left, cross Oxford St, and then 53 Wendell is 4th house on your left. (10-15 minute walk.)
WALKING FROM HARVARD SQUARE: From the front of the Harvard Coop Book store in the center of Harvard Square, Follow Mass Ave west away from Harvard Square, towards Porter Square (the Harvard Coop and Bank of America will be to your left as you walk.) Go past cemetery on left. Continue straight and across intersection at traffic lights. Cambridge commons park will be to your left. Continue straight from commons on Mass Ave. Go 2-3 blocks until you reach an intersection with a Starbucks on the corner at a traffic light. Cross to other side of Mass Ave. Wendell St intersects with Mass ave on this side. Follow Wendell St away from Mass ave. Cross Oxford St. 53 Wendell is 4th house on your left. Dark Cedar color with white front porch. (10-15 minute walk.)
